ACTA CEO Ben Leaver Announces Departure

I am writing to let you know that my time as CEO of ACTA is coming to a close.

My seven plus years have been fun, challenging at times and rewarding.  After changing our operating model, addressing some member concerns about what we were delivering, changing name and brand, upgrading our IT systems and website (with a big change about to drop!) and the development and delivery of our Certificate of Corporate Treasury, the organisation is really well placed for the future.  This is coupled with our CPD and networking program and of course the jewel in the crown, the ACTA Conference.

In addition to our great team and Board, we have many members volunteering their time on various committees, all of these cohorts have helped us to position ACTA where it is now, along with our great members and supporters like yourself.  And it’s resonating, with 20% member growth last year and ever increasing corporate engagement.  Everyone should be very proud of where we are.

I’m really pleased also to advise the Board have appointed an interim CEO, Simon Milne who is working with me on transition and handover.  This is an important step, as it allows for continuity of our major projects, along with not placing additional pressure on our existing team.  Simon can be reached via email at Simon.Milne@actatreasury.com.au

Please welcome Simon, I know he is looking forward to meeting and speaking with as many of you as he can.

Additionally, please feel free to contact either our President, Alice Van Der Geest or Vice President, Di Crossley about this or any other topic.

As with any role, it’s the people you work with that you miss the most, I will certainly miss working with and seeing all of you and wish you all the best.

Please feel free to reach out, I am still here until March 28.

Regards

Ben Leaver
