About the role


We're seeking a Treasury Analyst to contribute to the effective functioning of Transurban's Treasury team by performing tasks to support both the Treasury Risk & Compliance team and the Treasury Operations team.

You'll join an innovative team, who play a key role in the management, compliance and reporting of debt facilities and financial risks while also supporting the treasury management system and administration of banking portals.

Day-to-day, you will:

  • Assist the management of treasury models and analyse financial data to support risk management deliverables
  • Assist treasury risk management activities pertaining to financial and operational risks and navigate Treasury Management System for reporting and analysis of ongoing risk management activities
  • Assist in enhancements of the Treasury Management System and prepare financial covenant ratio certificates
  • Assist in providing lenders and other stakeholders with complete, accurate and timely financial and compliance information.
  • Maintain and operate controls for monitoring and reporting our Treasury compliance obligations
  • Manage "know your customer" (KYC) process, including working with our bank counterparties for KYC activities across the Group
  • Engage with CoSec regarding the corporate structure certification and unit holder registration processes and engage with Tax and Risk teams on relevant questionnaires and engage with Treasury Front Office team on derivative related requests
  • Support the administration of bank portals by assisting with user access management, permissions, maintain user profiles, and helping with password changes or resets, whilst being secondary support contact for banking portal enquiries


This role will suit someone with a curious mind and transferable skills and experiences, including:

  • Some Treasury or Risk & reporting financial and operational risk experience
  • Appropriate tertiary education in Commerce/Finance/Accounting
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Ability to respond to changing circumstances and willingness to undertake new tasks as the need arises
  • Knowledge of drivers of financial and operational risk and knowledge of instruments for financial risk management
  • Problem solving skills to structure problems, obtain data and generate meaningful insights
  • Presentation skills to present findings and recommendations in a clear and engaging way
