Jared Monschein

Jared Mondschein is the Director of Research at the United States Studies Centre. Previously, Jared was a Research Analyst at Bloomberg BNA in Washington, DC, where he focused on cross-border tax issues. Prior to joining Bloomberg BNA, Jared was a Research Associate in the Asia Studies program of the Council on Foreign Relations, an editorial assistant at Foreign Policy magazine, and an assistant editor at a policy journal in Beijing.

 

Vivek Dhar

Vivek Dhar has worked as Commonwealth Bank’s lead mining and energy commodities strategist since late 2014 after working as a junior analyst for 4 years. Prior to working at Commonwealth Bank, Vivek interned at Deutsche Bank and Siemens. He holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical) and a Bachelor of Commerce (Finance and Economics) from the University of Melbourne. Vivek works in the Institutional Banking & Markets division of the Commonwealth Bank. This division is responsible for managing the Group’s relationships with major corporate, institutional and government clients and providing a full range of capital raising, transactional and risk management products and services.

Tom is an economist specialising in global economic history and specific interest in currency and derivative products. Before co-founding Rochford, he spent 8 years at HiFX Plc, originally in the UK before arriving in Sydney early 2007 to launch HiFX’s FX Advisory business in the Australian market place.

Thomas has more than 20 years experience advising some of the largest companies in Europe and Australasia on Treasury risk management.

Liam Pepper, Perth based Director, Global Commodities and Trade, CBA

 

Liam works in CBA Commodities, Trade and Carbon business. He engages with miners and processors of Lithium, Copper, Rare Earth and other “transition” commodities. Specifically, he provides price risk management and financing solutions and supports carbon offset procurement programmes. In other parts of the franchise CBA funds renewable projects development and related commodity and carbon market exposures related to this are also managed by Liam’s business. He is happy speaking to Commodity and carbon Market supply and demand fundamentals and price signals as well asthe extent to which CBA is participating in and funding the transition.
