Networking (WA): Hour of Power

The Australian Corporate Treasury Association invites you to join us for the upcoming July 2024 – Hour of Power event hosted by Wesfarmers Limited.

The Hour of Power is an informal discussion forum aimed at Corporate Treasurers in WA. The purpose is to share experiences and learnings.

Vivek Dhar, CBA Commodities Strategist

 


Vivek Dhar has worked as Commonwealth Bank’s lead mining and energy commodities strategist since late 2014 after working as a junior analyst for 4 years. Prior to working at Commonwealth Bank, Vivek interned at Deutsche Bank and Siemens. He holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical) and a Bachelor of Commerce (Finance and Economics) from the University of Melbourne. Vivek works in the Institutional Banking & Markets division of the Commonwealth Bank. This division is responsible for managing the Group’s relationships with major corporate, institutional and government clients and providing a full range of capital raising, transactional and risk management products and services.

 

 

Liam Pepper, Perth based Director, Global Commodities and Trade, CBA

 

Liam works in CBA Commodities, Trade and Carbon business. He engages with miners and processors of Lithium, Copper, Rare Earth and other “transition” commodities. Specifically, he provides price risk management and financing solutions and supports carbon offset procurement programmes. In other parts of the franchise CBA funds renewable projects development and related commodity and carbon market exposures related to this are also managed by Liam’s business. He is happy speaking to Commodity and carbon Market supply and demand fundamentals and price signals as well asthe extent to which CBA is participating in and funding the transition.
